Our goal was for Captain Kirk to press the bar most of the time and for us to only give minimal manual reinforcements.
Procedure:
Today we mostly let Captain Kirk press the bar by herself. We only manually gave reinforcements when she went to the back corner and did not seem to be interested any more.
Results:
Today we only had to give 2 manual reinforcements. Overall Captain Kirk pressed the lever 68 times. The only two reinforcements we gave were when she would get distracted over in the corner.
Discussion:
Our rat now seems to be shaped. It looks like she has finally associated the lever with food. Our plan tomorrow is put her on FR 1 schedule. The FR 1 schedule is not much different from our current process but we feel that by giving her one day on FR 1 we will not lose the progress that we have already made.
